ARTIST STATEMENT:

My commitment and goal as a photographer and as an artist is to create beautiful and imaginative images of people and places. Images that possess a sense of line, style, and visual clarity; and that evoke a mood through the use of light, pose, composition, and expression. Whoever I am creating an image for, I strive to capture the unique beauty of each subject in a creative, relevant, and truthful manner.

"In whatever one does, there must be a relationship between the eye and the heart." -Henri Cartier-Bresson

BIO:

I grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio and I now reside with my beautiful, sweet wife and 4 cute kids (they're actually fuzzy cats, but I love them and they keep me on my toes like kids) in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. My career as a professional photographer began in late 2005 after I graduated with a degree in portrait photography from the Ohio Institute of Photography and Technology. I photograph a variety of subjects, but I especially enjoy working with people as my subject. Before my career as a photographer, I had a career as a professional ballet dancer. As you can see in my portfolios, my love of dance is evident in much of my work. In the future, I simply hope to continue to grow as an individual, as a husband and as an artist.

(By the way, that picture to the left is me on my wedding day. That wasn’t very long ago, so I actually still pretty much look like that. My friend, Nicole Green, was the photographer at my wedding. She is a fun and beautiful person, and an awesome photographer! I recommend her to people all the time. She lives in the Indianapolis area.)
